Instead, you have a monthly WiFi access fee whether you have Spectrum’s standalone router or its wireless gateway. Spectrum doesn’t charge a modem fee each month. Fixed wireless connections like 5G have gotten really big in the past few years as an internet service option, and customers gave this developing technology rave reviews in our annual customer satisfaction survey. It gives you speeds up to 140Mbps and doesn’t come with any data limits or contract requirements. If you’re living in a rural area or smaller town, check out AT&T Internet Air, a new 5G-based plan designed to serve as a replacement for AT&T’s DSL service. Try out AT&T Internet Air for an alternative to DSL or fixed wireless It’s much faster and gives you more data than what you can get from similarly priced plans from competitor internet service providers (ISPs). We do think it’s worth jumping to the 1G Internet plan if it’s offered where you live-it delivers superior speeds, letting you do practically anything online at a reasonable price.īut if the 1G Internet plan isn’t available, you’ll be good to go with the Internet 300 plan. You can even get a 5,000Mbps plan-the fastest speeds currently available to homes from any major provider in America. Not sure which of these providers should be your pick of choice? Read on for our full breakdown of these two providers and a look at where each of their strengths lie.ĪT&T offers multiple packages, most of them using excellent fiber connections. It has a larger nationwide footprint than AT&T, and it has a killer mobile and internet bundle deal to boot. Like AT&T, Spectrum has unlimited data and no contracts. The cable provider gets you speeds up to 1,000Mbps, while its budget-friendly, lower-tier options cost as little as $19.99 a month -way cheaper than AT&T’s baseline offerings. On the other hand, Spectrum makes for a pretty great option if you can’t get fiber from AT&T. AT&T’s DSL is sluggish and overpriced, but the provider is now in the process of replacing its DSL service with a solid 5G home internet option called AT&T Internet Air. You can also get discounts when you bundle your internet with an AT&T phone plan. AT&T gives you unlimited data on most fiber plans and you don’t have to sign an annual contract to sign up. On the one hand, it would be a no-brainer to pick one of AT&T’s fiber plans like Fiber Internet 1000, which get you incredibly fast speeds at an affordable price. It’s a tough call deciding which of these two is the better provider.

Remember that anybody listening on their phone, across the room or anywhere that's not in an equilateral triangle from their speakers in a treated room is going to get a shitty stereo image. I pretty much only play with this when I'm making sure my sounds are good when summed to mono. The reason this is a stereo effect is because your ear uses time delays (because of the speed of sound, things to your right hit your right ear first) to put things in the stereo field. You'll notice at first (around 1-3ns) it has this sort of weird stereo effect, but as you get further (10-25) the left and right start to separate and you hear them, one after another like horses hooves.Īs you get further one starts to sound like an echo of the first, but in the other ear. Try routing a simple click track (some short percussive sample that won't be annoying to listen to a bunch of times, just going 1-2-3-4) to Stereo Shaper and play with the delay. The interface is super simple and everything that's going on inside the audio is pretty simple.ĭelay knob: delays one channel or the other, depending on which way you turn it. This is an awesome little plugin in my hours of skimming around cats on the Internet there are lots of "stereo" plugins but few are actually as powerful and easy to use as this one. Is this bad, or is it just spreading the sound into both channels whilst also expanding the stereo width? I'm a little confused. Sometimes I'll use the Stereo Shaper or Stereo Enhancer along with the stereo separation knob on the mixer. How exactly does the stereo enhancer plugin differ from the stereo shaper? I use this a lot for pads as well as sound effects, but I try never to exceed 50-75% stereo separation. When you start to expand the "stereo separation" knob (which is 50% separated at the moment), the sound seems to fill both L/R channels in a way that's slightly different and more profound than what the plugins do. Unlike the first plugins I mentioned, this one seems to behave differently. Here it is - located on the bottom right of the mixer. Still, I occasionally use this plugin in various ways to pan plucks/leads a little bit to the right or left channel, or help secondary pads fit in with the wider pad(s). I know this is a commonly used technique (see: "Haas effect") but I'm not really sure what how it correlates to the Fruity Stereo Shaper. As you can see in the image, I have the "phase offset" turned 1.5ms to the right. Next is the typical "stereo enhancer" plugin. I'm unsure what it does exactly (what's the difference between a "shaper" and an "expander", anyway?), but it often does the job in ways that the plugin listed below does not. Here is the plugin's "Stereo-ize 3" preset. This is one of my commonly used effects to help widen the stereo on pads. So before all the questions, let's review some of the stereo-expanding plugins and/or methods. I have a few questions regarding the differences between these methods. I've learned a few different ways to expand/enhance the stereo field in FLStudio - some of them often yield different results than the other methods. These are test cases, and they were not fully configured. Replace the 1st slot with a truck with a standard hitch. New mods for Spin tires Mudrunner with automatic installation. You can upload up to 20 images at once and you can feel free to mix and match file types. To begin, you’ll need to upload some images you’d like to compress. This system intelligently analyzes uploaded images and reduces them to the smallest possible file size without negatively affecting the overall quality. It supports three file types: PNG, JPG/JPEG, and GIF. Our tool uses lossy compression to shrink down image files. Compressing them could free up more internal storage, fixing this problem. These images could be taking up a lot of hard drive space and preventing you from taking more photos. Likewise, you might have large images on your phone. Compressing this image would be very useful. Depending on your needs, this could be too big. A JPG from a professional DSLR camera, for example, could be dozens of megabytes. Why would you want to compress images?ĭepending on the source of an image, the file could be quite large. With lossy compression, how small you want the final file to be will depend on how much loss of quality you’re comfortable with. This results in a smaller file but with a reduced quality. Lossy compression is when the compressor removes excessive or unimportant bits from the original file. This results in a smaller file that has the exact same quality as the original. Lossless compression is when the compression tool removes empty, needless, or duplicated bits from the original file. There are two types of compression: lossless and lossy. Simply put, it means converting a large file into a smaller file. In terms of digital files, compression is the act of encoding information using fewer bits than what’s found in the original file.
What matters is how we lived and loved and how we spend our dash. He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears, but said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.įor that dash represents all the time they spent alive on earth and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.įor it matters not, how much we own, the cars.the house.the cash. The poem makes you think about how you spend your dash and when your eulogy is being read, will you be proud of how you spent your dash? - THE DASH - by Linda Ellis We make note of the year that the person was born and the year they died, which really say nothing, when it’s more about what’s between those dates, the dash, which represent the years of that person’s life. The poem is based on the simple idea of how we view a tombstone, an obituary or death notice. The poem makes you think about how you spend your dash and when your eulogy is being read, will you be proud of how you spent your dash? It's by Linda Ellis and it's called The Dash, and it's available as an A4 print from my site here.
